  6. aluminum piping is usually smooth enough@X05,@X08 but it must also be extremely thick to
  7. withstand the pressure developed by the expanding hot gasses in a cannon@X05.@X08  If
  8. one uses a projectile such as a CO2 cartridge@X05,@X08 since such a projectile can be
  9. made to explode@X05,@X08 a pipe that is about 1@X05.@X085 @X05-@X08 2 feet long is ideal@X05.@X08  Such a pipe
  10. MUST have walls that are at least 1@X05/@X083 to 1@X05/@X082 an inch thick@X05,@X08 and be very smooth
  11. on the interior@X05. @X08 If possible@X05,@X08 screw an endplug into the pipe@X05.  @X08Otherwise@X05,@X08 the
  12. pipe must be crimped and folded closed@X05,@X08 without cracking or tearing the pipe@X05.@X08
  13. A small hole is drilled in the back of the pipe near the crimp or endplug@X05.@X08
  14. Then@X05,@X08 all that need be done is fill the pipe with about two teaspoons of
  15. grade blackpowder or pyrodex@X05,@X08 insert a fuse@X05,@X08 pack it lightly by ramming a wad
  16. of tissue paper down the barrel@X05,@X08 and drop in a CO2 cartridge@X05.@X08  Brace the cannon
  17. securely against a strong structure@X05,@X08 light the fuse@X05,@X08 and run@X05.@X08  If the person is
  18. lucky@X05, @X08he will not have overcharged the cannon@X05,@X08 and he will not be hit by
  19. pieces of exploding barrel@X05.@X08  Such a cannon would look like this@X05:

  37. a small amount at the end@X05.@X08  Put this in the pipe cannon without using a tissue
  38. paper packing wad@X05.@X08  When the cannon is fired@X05,@X08 it will ignite the end of the fuse,
  39. and shoot the CO2 cartridge@X05.@X08  The explosive-filled cartridge will explode in
  40. about three seconds@X05,@X08 if all goes well@X05.@X08   Such a projectile would look like this@X05:
